WATER/SEWER
SERVICE INFORMATION
If you are a
new user of City services, we hope this will be useful to you.
- City Hall is in the Yachats
Commons at 441 N Highway 101. The main entrance is on the
EAST side of the building and City Hall is at the left
end of the main lobby.
- City Hall is open
Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm, including the noon
hour.
How to make a payment...
- Payments can be mailed: PO
Box 345, Yachats OR 97498.
- Payments can be made in
person at City Hall:
- During open hours,
Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, or after hours, using the
drop box near the front door of the Commons building.
- Sign up for ebill and epay to
receive an email when the bill is ready and to pay by
credit card online.
- Checks should be made payable
to "City of Yachats."
Current rates...(Effective
November 1, 2006)
- Water service is a minimum of
$25 per month. $4.00 is charged for each 100 cu. ft.
- Sewer service is a minimum of
$35 per month. A charge of $4.50 will be billed for each
100 cu. ft. of water used.
- The combined base rate for
water and sewer is $60.00 monthly.
- Accounts using more than 6400
cu. ft of water will be billed additional base amounts.
- Charges are based on water
use from the 26th of one month through the 25th
of the next.
- Statements are mailed monthly
by the first.
- A small discount is available
upon prepayment of at least 6 months unbilled base
charges.
IMPORTANT
- All new accounts will be
billed a $10 service setup fee.
- Property owners are
responsible for all bills and therefore must be in the
owners name. You may arrange to have a bill mailed to a
property manager. Contact City Hall for details.
- Payment is due upon receipt
and considered past due if not received by the 11th.
- Past due balances are charged
1.5% interest after 30 days and with each subsequent
statement.
- Water will be shut off for
unpaid balances over 30 days. A $20.00 fee will be
collected in addition to the full account balance before
water service will be reinstated.
- You are responsible to pay
for 100% of all metered water usage including any leaks.
You are encouraged to turn off your hand valve if leaving
your property unattended for any length of time.
